Set on a charming hillside overlooking the enchanting Lake Mburo, lies Mantana Tented Camp. Found in the Lake Mburo National Park, renowned for being the only place in Uganda to view zebra and impala, the camp is well situated, with its hillside location providing excellent views of the surrounding plains and mountains. The camp is a charming stop-over accommodation before moving on to experience gorilla trekking.
Mantana Tented Camp is small and intimate, offering 9 spacious guest tents. The tents are well spaced from one another and are raised above the ground on wooden decking, which extends to create small verandas for each tent. All of the tents provide en suite bathrooms and twin beds, hot water is provided for the bathrooms bucket shower and there are also flush toilets on offer. Only around 4km from Lake Mburo, the rooms boast excellent views of the crisp waters and the surrounding acacia woodland. Although the tents are quite basic they still ensure a comfortable stay. You can cozy up to a welcome fire in the cooler evenings at the camp's main area. A small fireplace punctuates the bar and dining room both of which provide views of the lake. There is an array of sofas in this main area, which is quaintly built from stone and thatch and is ideal for relaxing in the evening.

Adventure Holiday to Mantana's Lake Mburo Camp
Great views of the lake and the only place on our trip to spot zebra and eland which we saw lots of. The tents were basic but very comfortable with excellent views. Staff were very friendly and always on hand to help, the food was also very good.
