&BEYOND Punakha River Lodge, nestled deep within the lush Punakha Valley along the banks of the Mo Chhu river, is a stunning retreat and represents &BEYOND’s first venture into Bhutan. The lodge is surrounded by expansive green paddy fields and dense forested hills. Designed with intricate detail, the lodge showcases traditional Bhutanese architecture, blending seamlessly with the natural landscape.

&BEYOND Punakha River Lodge has six intimate luxury tents, complete with stand-alone bath tubs and large private verandas with river view. For honeymooners, or those simply seeking a little extra privacy, the one-bedroom suite called the River House, is located a little further from the main area of the resort alongside a quiet stream. For families, or two couples travelling together, the two-bedroom suite is ideal. There are two interconnected ensuite suites, each with their own private outdoor deck and al fresco shower. The suite also features a spacious shared lounge area, bar, and large outdoor deck complete with swimming pool. Those looking to be active and pack their time in Bhutan with activities will love the River Lodge. With direct river access this is a great place to raft, and there are a whole range of other activities to choose from, such as hikes, village visits, archery, cooking lessons, and birdwatching. For those looking to be pampered the spa is first-class and offers a range of traditional wellness therapies. No stay at a luxury lodge would be complete without excellent dining options and the food here is astonishing. As lovely as the main dining room is, staff here are very well-versed in setting up epic dining experiences elsewhere on the lush 50 acres of land around the property. A riverside picnic is a must.
