On my recent visit to Mauritius I visited the stunning Les Pavillons hotel. This gorgeous hotel is located in the South of the Island in the Le Morne region. I just had to write about this hotel as it is in the most stunning location and the backdrop is just spectacular. The hotel is on probably the most beautiful beach on the island and the Le Morne Mountain
provides the most dramatic of scenery behind the hotel.
The Mountain is now a UNESCO World Heritage Centre and was once used as a shelter by runaway slaves. The story goes that as the slaves hid in the mountain, the British started to ascend in order to tell them that slavery had been abolished. Devastated by the prospect of becoming slaves again and not realising the British arrived with good news, many of these people jumped to their death from the Mountain, a prospect seemingly more appealing. The mountain today is a national symbol of the slaves fight for freedom.
This is just one of the stunning images I took from Les Pavillons hotel, the beach is picture perfect and the amenities on site are just phenomenal. I would highly recommend this 5* hotel for honeymooners and couples and I promise you will not be disappointed.
