The Judge's Court

Judge’s Court is country manor set within a 12-acre fruit orchard, originally built as the private residence of Sir Jai Lal, an esteemed judge during the British Raj. Located on the edge of the Himalayan foothills in the historic village of Pragpur, the hotel has been thoughtfully restored to preserve its historical charm. The property features a 100-year-old manor house with a relaxed, Raj-era atmosphere, along with a 300-year-old ancestral cottage in the courtyard. Eco-friendly and brimming with old-world charm, the hotel offers modern comforts and excellent service in a heritage setting.

Each of the 30 rooms and suites at Judge’s Court is uniquely designed, with its own story to tell. Furnished with period-style furniture, the rooms feature large windows overlooking beautifully landscaped gardens. The walls are adorned with art and intriguing photographs, enhancing the historic charm. Delicious home-cooked meals, prepared using herbs and vegetables grown on the property, are served in the main dining room or in the gardens, weather permitting. The menu includes North Indian, Himachali, and continental dishes. Judge’s Court serves as an ideal base for exploring the quaint village of Pragpur. Nature walks with excellent bird-watching opportunities, and breathtaking mountain scenery are all nearby. Excursions to the majestic Kangra Fort and the Masroor rock-cut temple can also be arranged for those seeking a deeper cultural experience.
