A real hideaway that promises seclusion and privacy, Evolve Back Chikkana Halli Estate, sits in a 100-year-old, 300-acre coffee and spice plantation in Coorg. Often described as ‘The Scotland of India’, Coorg is a quaint hill district characterised by rolling hills, verdant valleys, thick forests, gurgling streams and Kodava culture. Expect luxury villas, an Ayruveda Spa, nature walks and birdwatching – a true escape from the hustle and bustle.

The villas are the last word in luxurious selection. The Plantation-style Lily Pool Villas and the Kodava-style Heritage Pool Villas are spread out in delightful clusters around this working coffee and spice plantation. Each villa features a deck and private pool and are designed in Kodava architecture. The resort has 3 restaurants and a host of personalized dining experiences at varied locations. For relaxation there’s 2 infinity pools, an Ayurveda Spa and a scenic reading lounge set on stilts overlooking the plantation. When you can drag yourself away from the resort, there are guided nature hikes, plantation walks and bird-watching trips into the forest. You can also learn more about life on the plantation, visit the local villages, ride on a coracle boat, and explore one of the largest Tibetan settlements outside of Tibet.
