Royal Orchid Metropole

Built in 1920 to host distinguished British guests of the Maharaja of Mysore, the Royal Orchid Metropole boasts over a century of history. The hotel preserves its colonial charm with grand corridors, elegant designs, majestic arches, and striking pillars. Offering 30 rooms and suites, it is a premier destination in Mysore, providing ample spaces across its 2.5-acre property for relaxation after a day of exploration.

The tastefully decorated rooms are subdued with dark wood furniture and silks, and private balconies. For dining there’s an open-air courtyard BBQ restaurant, a vintage bar, and an Indian restaurant which is very popular with the city’s residents. The hotel also features a ‘Gaming Zone’ for kids, manicured gardens, a gym and a swimming pool. The main attractions nearby include Mysore Palace, Brindavan Gardens, Kukkarahalli Lake, Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary and Somanathapura Temple.
