Vismaya is a beautifully restored 400-year-old Keralan villa, sitting on the banks of Lake Vembanad in the heart of the Keralan backwaters. Crafted from local timber, Vismaya’s original structure has been thoughtfully restored, featuring wooden columns and intricately carved doors. The two individually decorated rooms are designed to overlook Lake Vembanad, furnished with restored antique cupboards, wooden desks, and side tables. A central living area separates the two rooms, while throughout the property, quiet nooks with swinging chairs and verandas offer peaceful spots to enjoy the serene views. The attentive on-site team takes exceptional care of guests, remaining discreet yet appearing just when you're in the mood for a cold drink or a snack. Meals are entirely bespoke—the chef will discuss your preferences, guiding you through the day’s fresh catch or seasonal vegetables and fruits. If you wish, you can even join in the kitchen preparations. The infinity pool, overlooking Lake Vembanad, offers the perfect setting to while away the hours in complete relaxation.
