Denwa Backwater Escape

An eco-luxury resort in Satpura National Park, Denwa Backwater Escape offers jeep safaris, walking safaris and canoeing as well as boat cruises and camp outs. It’s an idyllic getaway nestled in the densely forested land of Madhai, along the backwaters of the meandering Denwa River offering 8 cozy cottages and 2 treehouses.

With views of the river, the grasslands of Satpura and the Pachmarhi hills, the camp sits in lush forest cover. The cottages and tree houses have sprawling verandas and are eclectic in design. The whole camp is built in contemporary safari style design, using local and sustainable material like stone, baked tiles and recycled furniture. The Central building includes a welcome area or reception, dining hall, nature shop, and library along with a luxuriant swimming pool. The food is fresh, locally sourced and sustainable. The lodge believes in keeping regional, authentic recipes alive but also serves international cuisine.
