Shahpura Bagh

The perfect setting to slow down on a Rajasthan itinerary, Shahpura Bagh is an authentic homestay experience in Rajasthan’s rural countryside. Located in a verdant wetland refuge, it’s an idyllic setting where life is unhurried and days are filled with sunshine, conversation, picnics, birdwatching, fishing and boating on the lakes with lazy sundowners. Only 9 luxury suites are set in 45 acres of garden and pasture with walking trails that skirt the lakes. Hammocks and charpoys are located at scenic spots to relax, read and meditate.

The estate has two mansions, Nahar Niwas and Umed Niwas, and a two-bedroom luxury villa that house the Royal Suites, Suites and Luxury Villa Suites. Nahar Niwas is also the family residence, which houses the private dining, lounge and bar.  Every room is unique in design, furnished with antiques and fine fabrics, and some feature ensuite whirlpool bathrooms. With plenty of areas to lounge about, the stay seems personal and intimate. Meals in the common dining area are lively with conversations of spotting birds, travels in India and across the world.   You will be served authentic home cooked Rajasthani food (or western options) prepared over a wood fire. The property’s infinity pool is set in a secluded spot with two luxurious pavilions with huge daybeds.
