First up, Dubai. Staying at the sumptuous Ritz-Carlton Dubai, you are handily placed for many of the key family attractions, including Wild Wadi and Aquaventure waterpark's, KidsZania, IMG Worlds of Adventure theme park, as well as the Burj Khalifa - the tallest building in the world. Located right beside the Gulf, with its own private beach and swimming pools, you'll also have plenty of time to relax and slow the pace right down at this gorgeous hotel.
Next, the Maldives, arriving at the spectacular Anantara Kihavah by speedboat after a short domestic flight. Located in a UNESCO Biosphere reserve in the Baa atoll, expect thriving marine life in the surrounding house reef, snorkeling with a marine biologist, stunning diving and sunset cruises. Head off on an excursion to nearby Hanifaru Bay where, between May and September, manta rays and whale sharks gather to feed. After an action-packed day, take time out in the evening at the resort's observatory - Sky - for some magical star-gazing.
