Aside from day and night game drives, other activities include horse-riding, camel-trekking, guided bush walks, fishing, mountain biking, cultural visits to Samburu villages and visits to the anti-poaching sniffer dogs. Then, get a bird’s eye view of Kenya’s sweeping landscapes as you fly by light aircraft into the Maasai Mara Reserve, staying at Sand River Maasai Mara Camp. The area is best known for its large concentrations of big cats, such as leopard, cheetah and, of course, lion. Even the dramatic arrival of the Annual Wildebeest Migration (July – October) merely adds to an already abundant resident wildlife that awaits discovery.
