Inspirational safari holiday to Rwanda and Tanzania
This eco-conscious itinerary offers the chance to see mountain gorillas in Rwanda as well as experience a classic African safari in the Serengeti, all whilst staying in luxurious Singita lodges. Begin in Rwanda at Singita Kwitonda Lodge located on the edge of the high-altitude cloud forests of Volcanoes National Park and with views of the Virunga volcano range. The once-in-a-lifetime experience of trekking the rare mountain gorilla is of course the highlight, however, this magical place has so much more to offer, from seeing golden monkeys to learning about Dian Fossey's conservation efforts and how these have continued to this day. From here, you will fly directly into the private Grumeti Reserve bordering the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. You will again be hosted by Singita, this time at Faru Faru Lodge, with its views over the river and savannah plains. Game drives and balloon safaris are the camp activities, however, due to the natural watering hole on-site, you needn't ever leave, as here, the safari comes to you.
