Begin in Sri Lanka, and after a night in the capital city of Colombo, you will journey to the Buddhist hill city of Kandy staying at The Kandy House. This is a unique ancestral manor house, set in a lush, tropical garden setting close to the sights. During your stay, you will visit the Temple of the Tooth, housing the relic of the tooth of the Buddha, and embark on an evening walk through the backroads of the city. Here you will also get the opportunity to trek through the remote agricultural village of Heeloya and meet the locals. It’s then onto a vintage train where you will journey through the Tea Country and to the mountain retreat of Haputale. Your accommodation, Thotalagala is a restored tea planter’s bungalow with 7 suites. Tour the 1890 gem of a tea factory, hike up to the panoramic Lipton’s Seat and take tea in the garden of Sir Thomas Lipton’s own, unchanged bungalow. Finally, you will journey to the legendary Baros Maldives, one of the region's iconic resorts. Expect a natural island paradise with swaying palms over pristine white sand beaches and an exquisite lagoon and house reef that can be explored directly from the beach. Luxurious rooms, gourmet dining, watersports, spa treatments, and complete relaxation will be the order of the day.
