Discover Tawi Lodge

At the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro and set within a private concession bordering the Amboseli National Park is the picturesque, eco-friendly Tawi Lodge. There are 13 cottages which all have spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the world’s largest free-standing mountain. Here you will enjoy thrilling game-drives across the ancient Amboseli landscapes, sundowners looking up at the mountain or take guided bush walks in the conservancy with the fabulous Maasai guides. There’s also the option to go on camel walks or a hot air balloon.

Each of the beautifully appointed cottages has a veranda from which you can view elephants, giraffe and other wildlife. The cottages are described as ‘elegantly rustic’ with 4-poster beds, Victorian bath, and shower. The main lodge area has a swimming pool with sunbeds overlooking the waterhole, a fireplace, bar, lounge, and gift shop. There’s also a fantastic spa, offering massages, pedicures, manicures and reflexology and an outdoor ‘hot tub’. The team of chefs concoct innovative and tasty meals of fresh locally available ingredients. Delicious candle-lit dinners are served by the warmth of the fireplace, or under the stars, Kilimanjaro presiding as the backdrop.
