Comprising of only 6 tents, Kicheche Laikipia Camp is a bush hideaway under the shadow of Mount Kenya and in the wilderness area of East Africa’s largest Black Rhino Sanctuary. The camp is in the low vehicle density wilderness zone of the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and the wildlife viewing is very private. This is a myriad of wildlife including elephant, lion, cheetah and abundant plains game including the rarer Northern species such as Grevys Zebra, Jackson’s Hartebeest and Beisa Oryx.
The 6 luxurious tents are nestled on the edge of indigenous woodland overlooking a waterhole. Each guest tent has hot and cold running water and a shower. The camp’s squeaky green safari chic marries beautifully and sensitively with the natural highs of the surrounding wilderness.A large, interconnected lounge / dining tent makes up the camp’s communal area. It opens up in the front to overlook the waterhole and surrounding bush. The relaxing lounge area has comfortable chairs with a selection of reference books and a small curio shop. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are often taken al-fresco and pre-dinner drinks and star gazing are a must under the great African sky. Picnic breakfasts and lunches are available on game driving excursions.

A beautiful camp with great views of Mount Kenya & wonderful wildlife. The rhino population is thriving.
