Lewa Wilderness is situated in the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy at the foot of Mount Kenya. The land has been owned by the Craig family since 1924 and is presently home to Will and Emma Craig who will host you, together with their exceptional team of guides. You will be made to feel very much a part of the family. It’s a place to relax and enjoy home-cooked food and share adventures of your daily adventures. There are 9 cottages surrounded by a 62,000-acre conservancy, home to a huge variety of wildlife including some of Kenya’s most endangered animals, including the black rhino and Grevy zebra.

Lewa Wilderness has 6 thatched cottages, built into the hillside with stunning visas overlooking Lewa’s Eastern Marania Valley. The ultimate in privacy, you will feel like you are the only occupants for miles. Each cottage features a private outdoor verandah where you can enjoy a morning coffee whilst watching the sunrise – as well as a private dinner. A further 3 garden cottages are ranch-style homes, perfect for families. There is an endless list of activities on offer ranging from horse and camel riding among the wildlife to game drives, guided bush walks and day trips to local community projects. There is also the unique WACO biplane offering scenic flights (the only open cockpit biplane in East Africa). At the lodge you can play tennis before relaxing by the saltwater swimming pool; often the best game viewing spot at the lodge.
