Discover Porini Rhino Camp

Porini Rhino Camp is an intimate eco-camp set within the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, which is situated within the foothills of Aberdares and the snowcapped Mount Kenya. The vast 90 000-acre conservancy is home to the all the Big 5 animals, the endangered black rhino, wild dog, as well as a sanctuary for rescued chimpanzees. The camp features only 8 tents, specifically designed to have minimum environmental impact. They are all in a secluded valley, on the banks of a seasonal river, and under the shade of acacia trees.

The traditionally themed safari canvas tents are all tastefully furnished and have private verandas, solar-power lighting, a bucket walk-in hot shower and flush toilet. There is also a 2-tent family unit located about 20 metres from the main areas. Each tent has been sited to have beautiful views of the open plains of Ol Pejeta. The main area has a mess tent with a dining table for communal meals, a veranda with more seating and a small campfire. The camp offers picnic lunches in the bush, day and night game drives, escorted walks with Maasai guides, sundowner drinks and visits to the rhino and chimpanzee sanctuaries.
