Kicheche Mara Camp is a small, classic tented camp hidden in a picturesque valley in a private wildlife area of the Maasai Mara. Specifically, the camp sits in the Mara North Conservancy, bordering the Maasai Mara National Park. This location offers an exclusive and private experience with a very low vehicle density. Expect amazing game viewing all year round, frequently starting in the camp itself. With only 9 tents an intimate and relaxed atmosphere is assured.
Kicheche Mara’s tents all overlook the Olare Orok stream and the western escarpment of the valley. The tents are spacious, fully insect-proof Selous style tents, equipped with cedar beds, linen, bedside tables, luggage racks and rugs. Bathrooms are equipped with a dresser, shower, flushing toilet and running water. There are canvas directors and deck chairs on the verandas. The communal lounge tent, with its comfortable local furnishings and informative collection of reference books, is a delightful place to relax between game drives or other activities. All meals and drinks are taken al-fresco in a clearing overlooking the plains or, in the spacious dining tent.
