Mara Toto Camp is situated along the bank of the Ntiakitiak River, on the border of Kenya's famous Maasai Mara Reserve. This private camp is hidden in the forest, yet offers exceptional game-viewing opportunities with access to both the Maasai Mara Reserve and the adjacent Mara North Private Conservancy. The camp is an excellent base for budding Big Cat photographers with leopards, lions and other wildlife frequently wandering around, and even through, the camp. Mara Toto is also perfectly positioned to witness the spectacular annual wildebeest and zebra migration.
Accommodating up to 8 guests, this solar-powered, intimate camp is perfectly suited to small groups (on an exclusive use basis), couples, and those with an adventurous spirit. The camp is designed to reflect the East African romantic safari era, with just four canvas tents each with en-suite bathrooms where you can enjoy piping hot water from huge brass safari showers to a chorus of hippos lazing nearby. Positioned under a canopy of African ebony trees, its main area is lit only by lanterns and candles, a true 'back to the classics' safari design providing the most authentic of safari experience for the ardent safari-goer.
