Discover Porini Lion Camp

Found close to the seasonal Ntiakatiak River, home to hippo pools and only a short distance from the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Porini Lion Camp is a small and exclusive property, ideal for guests wanting a truly authentic safari experience away from the crowds. The camp is located in the 20,000 acre Olare Orok Conservancy, which boasts a strong diversity of wildlife, including an abundance of big cats. Conservation and giving back to the local community are focal points for the lodge, with no permanent structures, a cap on the number of tourists visiting and the local Maasai directly benefiting from all income received in camp.

This intimate camp is made up of only 10 tents, all of which are lit by solar power. The tents are spacious and comfortable, with pleasant furnishings and a quaint veranda which runs the length of the tent and serves as a great place to relax in-between game drives and activities. All tents include en-suite bathrooms, with hot showers and flush toilets. The main area comprises a lounge and dining area, where the camp's delicious meals are served.
Perfect for guests with strong views on conservation, the camp readily coheres to such ideals; staff are Maasai and with guides expert guides game drives are well delivered and non-intrusive to the wildlife.
