Discover The Emakoko

Close to the wilderness yet close to the city, The Emakoko is a charming lodge with modern furnishings edged by traditional African influence. Bordering the Nairobi National Park and overlooking the Mbagathi River, the lodge is tucked away on the side of a valley, all the while not far from Nairobi's 2 main airports and its city centre. It's a great place to stopover and ideal for anyone coming from a safari; the sudden change from wilderness to city can be a shock so having the national park so close is a great reintroduction to the urbanised world.

With only 10 safari suites and 1 exclusive-use safari villa, the offering is exclusive. Designed for utmost comfort and privacy, the rooms all feature luxurious beds, mosquito nets, private verandas, and fireplaces. 5 of the suites are positioned along the cliff edge and 5 are within closer proximity to the river and main lodge area below. While the Cliff Suites boast panoramic views of the vast landscapes, the River Suites are a more convenient option for their easily accessible location. The main hub is open and airy with a swimming pool and delicious cocktails providing an opportunity to relax and unwind. The lodge offers game drives within the Nairobi National Park and opportunities to explore Nairobi’s attractions including the David Sheldrick Elephant and Rhino Orphanage and the Giraffe Centre.
