Located next to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park in eastern Madagascar, Vakona Forest Lodge is a beautiful eco-lodge which is nestled in a forest and borders a lake. Vakona Forest Lodge has its own reserve, Lemur Island, which is home to many lemur species such as the Bamboo Lemur, Brown Lemur and White Ruffed Lemur. Here you can interact with the lemurs as they jump on your shoulders.

The lodge has 28 Malagasy-styled bungalows including 10 family bungalows. Each bungalow has its own terrace, small living room, bathroom and toilets, a safe, mini fridge and mosquito nets.

Guests can dine at the lodge's own restaurant which overlooks the forest and lake and serves a European, Chinese and Malagsy menu. During the day, guests can enjoy the swimming pool and sundeck and, in the evenings, can enjoy a game of billiard, ping-pong or relax in the library or lounge area.
