Found in the Liwonde National Park, Mvuu Camp offers excellent game viewing in Malawi's premier wildlife haven. You can look out from the property and watch as numerous game come to drink from the Shire River, which runs alongside the camp. Crocodiles and hippos call the river home and are joined by a wide diversity of birdlife.
A good option for families, the camp provides 5 specially designed family units, with two beds per room. All rooms are made from stone and canvas, are spacious and feature en-suite bathrooms. The main guest area is tucked under a quaint thatch roof and provides a dining room, lounge and bar, all with brilliant views of the Shire River. On occasion, dinner is an al fresco affair and takes place in a boma under the African night sky.

Honeymoon to Mvuu Camp
We were upgraded to the lodge. Had impeccable, personal service and some amazing guided walks and trips. Saw lots of animals. A real highlight of the trip.
Close to perfection in terms of the villas, the safari team and the general atmosphere but serious improvements are easily possible (and needed) on the food and beverage sides.
I thought this was super, we had our own specialist guide, as we were interested in the birds. A very personalised service, the camp on the River was delightful, Hippo in the water across the way bellowing through the day and night. Contrasting drives on the river and on land.
Definitively what we were looking for when imagining our trip to Malawi with our little boy. The 4 days spent at Mvuu Camp were so relaxing that we got the feeling we spent much more days there. It is the nicest feeling that you can have when on Holiday. The days are longer...
