Huntingdon House
Huntingdon House is found on the Satemwa Tea Estate and offers excellent colonial accommodation in Malawi's Shire Highlands. Originally built in 1928 as a family home, the past is brought to life with 1920's artefacts littering the rooms and decor elegant and reminiscent of yesteryear.
The house has only 5 suites on offer. Each suite holds its own individual character and style. Rooms are very spacious and are all en-suite, each is named after its original function, with guests able to choose from Father's Room, the Nursery, Mother's Room, The Chapel and the Planter's Suite. There are a number of attractions nearby and day trips are offered to the Zomba Plateau and Mount Mulanje. However, for those wishing to stay close to the property the surrounds are full of fun and interesting things to do, including tea tasting, coffee tours, mountain biking and walking trails.
