Ben was born and bred in Yorkshire to a family of passionate travelers. From a young age, he discovered that travel was his greatest teacher and his education took place across many destinations...

In later years, Ben naturally pursued a career in the travel industry, putting his degree in Creative Writing to good use. He lived and worked in the United States, Canada, Australia and India, traveling the length and breadth of the country cumulatively over a period of two years. With over 15 years' experience specializing in luxury travel, Ben brings a wealth of formative experience and a deep passion for different cultures and diverse landscapes to his role.

Today, as Product Manager at Mahlatini, Ben works closely with trusted local suppliers to shape beautiful journeys and meaningful travel experiences.

Most Memorable Trip

India was the trip that truly changed the way I see the world. It’s completely unlike anywhere else... A real assault on the senses! It can feel overwhelming at first, but it also has absolutely everything: cities, deserts, mountains, oceans, wilderness and incredible wildlife. On a deeper level, it’s also spiritually enlightening. The way people live there gives you a different perspective and a lesser sense of self. It makes you look at the world—and your place in it—completely differently.

Top of My Bucket List

Bhutan. I’m fascinated by its focus on meditation and spirituality, as well as the way it manages low-impact, high-value tourism. From a product perspective, I’m really intrigued by the growing luxury offering there, and I’d love to experience it firsthand.

Favorite Safari Animal

Snow leopard. I love how elusive and reclusive they are, as it makes a sighting all the more rewarding!

Sundowner of Choice

An Amaretto Sour. It’s refreshing, tangy, goes down very easily, and it’s really simple to make.

Favorite Property

The Royal Mansour in Morocco. I was lucky enough to spend 3 nights there and it instantly became a favorite.

Top Travel Tip

Always take Avon Skin So Soft with you, especially when visiting tropical places. It is my go-to mosquito deterrent. It’s not medically proven, but after years of traveling, especially in places like India and Africa, I swear by it!
