Stuart has a strong track record in the travel industry, with a career spanning over 20 years. He has held various sales and management roles within the sector, including working for a regional airline and with one of the UK's largest travel agency brands.

After taking a year's sabbatical to fulfil a long-held ambition of an around-the-world trip, Africa worked her magic which meant he barely ventured beyond the Southern Africa region! Mahlatini provides the perfect work environment to combine Stuart's personal passion for African travel with his extensive professional experience in travel sales.

MOST MEMORABLE TRIP

I've always been a believer in social responsibility and during my time in Cape Town the opportunity arose to assist in the organization of a charity football day in the Gugulethu township. As part of a mix of international volunteers, I helped put together two teams for the match and helped raise vital funds for the community. Lifelong friendships were made at the post-match braai where I sampled some of Africa's finest hospitality.

TOP OF MY BUCKET-LIST

Being African safari specialists, I love that we can offer multi-center holidays often consisting of complex travel arrangements. Many people like to twin Cape Town and Winelands with a safari in Kruger National Park. However, as we tailor itineraries to our clients' bespoke wishes, I would recommend flying from Cape Town to Botswana for a truly remarkable safari experience. The country boasts the most wonderful and welcoming people and they are so proud of their country and the incredible wildlife it has to offer. The Okavango Delta in particular is remarkable, and Botswana boasts some of Africa's most exclusive lodges.

TOP TRAVEL TIP

As a lover of safari, it's worth investing in a good camera, extra lens and camera batteries. In my experiences, it is as important to really watch the wildlife as it is to capture the photographs. Take it all in, in the moment.

THE BEST PART OF MY JOB

I love to see returning clients. Knowing that they had such a good time on their previous trip that they come back to Mahlatini for their next adventure fix. Working with people I know means I can create an excitingly new, but just as personal experience.
