Riad Cherifa is tucked away in a quiet street amid the old medina of Chefchaouen. It is crafted from 2 traditional houses with traditional Moroccan-Andalusian décor elements, including Moorish arches, colorful Fez-Zellig tiling, tadelakt-plastered niches, and hand-carved cedar ceilings. Featuring a rooftop terrace and hammam, and spa area, Riad Cherifa is the perfect spot to retreat to after a day of exploring.

There are 12 individually styled rooms and suites, each unique in layout and with detailing such as painted ceilings, decorative doors, and carved wooden furniture. Throughout the property is intricate mosaic flooring with indoor plants strewn along the corridors. The sights of Chefchaouen are constantly visible through beautiful wrought iron window frames. A standout feature is the rooftop terrace, where you can sip mint tea overlooking the “Blue City” roofs and mountain backdrop. Meanwhile, the courtyard-pool, enveloped by plants and shaded walls, offers a quietly restorative retreat. Dining at Riad Chérifa begins each morning with a traditional Moroccan and continental breakfast served on the terrace beside the pool. For later meals, the Medina’s artisan neighborhood invites exploration of local bistros and cafés. A dedicated hammam and spa area elevates the sense of calm with steam, exfoliation rituals, and ceremonial massage treatments.
