Selman Marrakech is an Arab-Moorish inspired, terracotta palace designed by renowned French architect and designer Jacques Garcia. It’s a no-expense-spared decadent destination hotel with a Henri Chenot Spa, heated, Olympic-size swimming pool, and an exclusive collection of Morocco’s finest, purebred horses. The hotel sits at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, a haven of peace and luxury just outside the city walls, with the Medina a 15-minute drive away.
The hotel has a very rich decorative style with numerous chandeliers and thick fabrics, with lots of Moroccan craftsmanship too. The 55 rooms and suites and 5 villas are modern yet feature details like zellige mosaic tiles, curved furniture, and latticework. All rooms come with a terrace that overlooks the pool or the gardens. Selman Marrakech houses 5 restaurants and bars, each offering a variety of atmospheres to suit every mood and desire. For dining, the Le Selman restaurant serves international cuisine, Le Pavillon offers an open-air lunch overlooking the stables and paddocks, while L’Assyl serves Moroccan cuisine. For relaxation, head to the main 80-metre infinity pool lined by palm trees and day beds or the incredible Chenot Spa, reminiscent of the heated baths of Istanbul.
