Onguma Etosha Aoba Lodge
Onguma Etosha Aboa is ideal an ideal base for those exploring the Etosha National Park in their own vehicles but with the added extra of the immense wildlife on offer within the 34,000ha Onguma Game Reserve as well.
The property boasts 11 thatched, guest bungalows of differing style, including interconnecting bush suites for larger groups or families and a secluded honeymoon suite. All have twin/double beds, en-suite bathrooms and a small deck or garden area as well as a "bush-minibar", air conditioning and tea & coffee facilities plus large mosquito nets. For the winter months there are heating fans available.
The heart of the property is the large, open-sided restaurant/bar/lounge and terrace overlooking the swimming pool and the small natural watering hole beyond. The reserve boasts a wide variety of wildlife including giraffe, zebra, kudu and other game, as well as the predators, lion, cheetah and leopard. Onguma has also recently added a family of rare black rhino to the reserve. In the Namibian summer months as the rainy season brings life to the wetlands bird-watchers are well catered for with a hundreds of bird species migrating through the reserve annually. As the property is unfenced, children under the age of 7 are not permitted.
