Bahnhof Hotel Aus
Located in the village of Aus, Bahnhof Hotel Aus is 120kms from Luderitz and 220 kms from Keetmanshoop. It acts as is an ideal stopover on the way or on return journey from the southern regions of Namibia. Many visitors stop just for a hearty lunch. The hotel was built in 1906 and extensively refurbished in 2005.
Accommodation on offer at the hotel includes 25 twin rooms, 1 family room and a self catering house. All rooms offer ensuite bathrooms a fan, tea/coffee station and a plug-in mosquito repellent. There is a restaurant and historic bar with a satellite TV where guests can catch up on world news or major sporting events. A warm and welcoming lounge with fire is an area of respite in the cold winter and the sundeck at the hotel is the perfect place to watch a summer sunset.
Meals are 'a la carte' menu and offered in both indoor and outdoor dining areas. The hotel's trademark fresh bread and cakes are baked daily and the hotel's beer garden is a great spot to enjoy a Namibian beer or two, with the opportunity to meet a few of the local characters as well.
