Hotel Heinitzberg
Overlooking Namibia's capital city and offering incredible views, The Heinitzburg Hotel is is a beautiful castle commissioned in 1914 . It is conveniently close to city centre, yet is situated in a secluded area. The hotel is owner run and offers refinement and high quality service.
The hotel offers 16 spacious, generously appointed en-suite rooms, each individually decorated and each with magnificent views of Windhoek and the surrounding Khomas Hochland mountains. All rooms have air-conditioning/heating, flatscreen satellite TV, electronic safe and mini bar. The deluxe rooms have a walk in shower while the 'superior' deluxe rooms have a bath with integrated showers. There is a quiet garden for guests to relax in as well as a refreshing swimming pool which is heated in winter.
For dining guests at the castle have a choice of venues for breakfast, either outdoors in the Garden Terrace overlooking the city and the mountains or indoors in the furnished Aschenborn Room, located in the old Castle. For dinner, Leo's at the Castle is a fine dining restaurant considered to be one of the best restaurants in Namibia. It serves a varied cuisine ranging from International to French à la carte. For something a lighter, snacks and sundowner cocktails are served in the Garden Terrace with its stunning views and spectacular sunsets.
