Discover River Crossing Lodge

Whilst River Crossing only is 3km from Windhoek, it is located on a pristine 6500-hectare game reserve, giving it a quiet rural setting. Guests may feel more like they are staying in a safari lodge than a city hotel. Views from the lodge are of mountains in one direction and the city of Windhoek on the other. Being so close to the airport, a stay at River Crossing at the start or end of a Namibian trip makes it an ideal choice for people not wanting to overnight within the city. The Lodge and the rooms have been designed to emulate old German farmhouses.

River Crossing has 20 terracotta-colored chalets dotted along the hilltop of which 14 are twin and 6 are double (4 of these have 3 beds to accommodate children). All the chalets have bathrooms with showers, although the 2 honeymoon chalets have baths instead. 6 of the chalets have views of Windhoek whilst the other 14 face east offering superb sunrise views of the Moltkeblick Mountain.

The main lodge building comprises a dining room, bar and a lounge with a fireplace. Here floor-to-ceiling windows at one end provide lovely views of the surrounding mountains. A sparkling swimming pool and relaxing patio offer a place for guests to enjoy a meal or drinks at any time of the day.

The game reserve itself offers abundant fauna and flora. Nineteen different species roam the reserve, including roan, sable, giraffe and wildebeest as well as leopard and cheetah which can also be seen from time to time.
