Situated on a spectacular hilltop ridge a thousand feet above the Pokhara Valley, Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge has panoramic views of Machhapuchhare, and three of the world's 8,000m Himalayan peaks, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu. A superb base before or after longer treks in the Annapurna region, or for more leisurely day hikes, excursions and bird watching. The main lodge centered around a Nepali-style courtyard has a central fireplace, dining room comfortable seating areas, library and a bar.
Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge is a tranquil base from which to explore Pokhara and its surrounds. The spacious rooms are arranged around the hilltop in hand-cut stone bungalows. Positioned to take in the breath-taking views and set in private gardens, the rooms each have a veranda, adjoining bathroom and are furnished in a local style with high quality hand-knotted wool carpets in traditional designs. The gardens are terraced and planted with indigenous shrubs and bamboo to emulate the surrounding landscape and provide habitat for local wildlife. Both Nepali dishes and continental specialties are served in the dining room, made from fresh local ingredients. A secluded swimming pool reflects the snowcapped peaks in its waters. The lodge can arrange massage treatments, yoga and guided meditation, as well as a number of active and cultural excursions.
