Mr Jim Neilson, 23rd August 2019Only 'not great' experience was at Chobe.
Countries Visited
Zambia
“All great”
Botswana
“Pom Pom - positive
Chobe - negative”
Accommodation Visited
Mfuwe Lodge
“Good start to the safari. Hippos outside the cabin and honking all night. :)”
Chindeni Bush Camp
“Great experience. Walking safaris were fantastic and a truly memorable event.
Only negative was the temperature (37/38 degrees) which was beyond the camp's control. I just was not prepared for that much trouble sleeping.”
“Food was good, Boma dinner was entertaining, waterfall was very low on volume given low overall water levels.”
Chobe Bush Lodge
“Felt more like a Disney Adventure Park ride than a safari: 9 passengers to a jeep, shortened drives (3 hours including the 30 minutes to get to the national park and register), too much traffic (I counted 13 jeeps full of people staring at a single leopard once morning which obviously bothered the animal), guides were not as informative.”
Pom Pom Camp
“Loved the fact it was in a private concession so we could go off road and track lions (unsuccessfully) and a rhino (found him). From a game viewing it was the best (male lion, male leopard, wild dogs (two different packs), etc.”
