Holiday to South Africa
Raymond Turner & Doris McGuffin, 19th September 2019Our holiday was well organised; the arrangements were trouble-free. It was a very enjoyable trip from start to finish. Having been on a similar trip last year, also organised by Mahlatini, we continue to be delighted with their imaginative and knowledgeable approach. We have recommended this company to several friends and will continue to use them ourselves in future.

“A very pleasant hotel, with a slightly old- world feel. The restaurant and lounges were extremely pleasant and welcoming, and the staff were unfailingly polite and helpful. Our room and bathroom were spacious and well-furnished with a range of toiletries.”
Madikwe Hills Private Game Lodge
“A very comprehensive, well-equipped and comfortable game lodge. Our suite was well furnished , and offered a magnificent view over the neighbouring water hole, affording excellent opportunities to observe a wide range of wildlife.
The game drives were led by Trevor, an experienced guide with an inexhaustible store of knowledge and anecdotes (some of which might even have been true !) The tracker, Sidney, was a valuable support.
Within the central part of the site, Hannes Kruger was an extremely approachable and helpful source of advice and comfort, helping us out of difficulty concerning routes to the airport at Jo'burg.”

It is another very comfortable hotel, with helpful staff.”
“A large country house, modernised and extended to offer several self-contained suites. Lovely breakfasts, and, on days when dinner was not being served in the hotel, the owner was very frank and informative about local restaurants. On his recommendation we found the excellent Drostdy within 10 mins walking distance.”

“From the outset, Claire showed imagination and knowledge in compiling an interesting itinerary. She was always ready to explore options we suggested, and flexible enough to make constructive changes. When we had occasion to raise a query with her by email, she was available 24/7 and provided prompt and helpful responses. Claire went a long way towards making our trip memorable and trouble-free.
A sole, minor, quibble concerns some of the directions given in our itinerary papers (for instance directions for travel from Franschhoek to Cape Town were given in reverse order !). Claire has taken this in hand and I am sure the problem will be resolved.”
