“I enjoyed my stay. No complaints except that the duvet on the bed was DISGUSTING (heavily stained with old blood). I had to point it out to management.”
Grootbos Forest Lodge
“Perfection. The room, the staff, the food - I could not ask for better. The activity planning and attention to detail was impeccable. I learned so much about SA, marine life, and the community surrounding Grootbos. I loved Grootbos' dedication to maintaining a positive relationship with the community in which it sits. Gareth and Princess made our stay even more enjoyable, and the manager (Mandy/Mindy?) clearly knows what she's doing.
I didn't know what to expect from this property, but I was SUPER impressed. If I go back to South Africa, I will make it a point to visit Grootbos Forest Lodge again. I also plan on donating to its foundation.”

“Great beach break before the Safari. We didn't get a chance to take full advantage of the services the Plettenberg had to offer (we were there only for 2 nights), but the beach was stunning.”

“Nicki was attentive and answered all my questions. I felt comfortable navigating the two week vacation in a country I was not familiar with. I also knew that if I had any questions, Nicki would be there to answer them. That was a nice feeling to have. Also, the printed itinerary was very helpful (the GPS was not).”
