Solo Trip to South Africa
Dean Clabrough, 23rd April 2021The overall experience was amazing! Everything was well-coordinated and went according to plan. Great game viewing, great accommodation and the transfers between lodges went according to plan. Was very impressed with the meet and greet team - on arrival they helped me sort out a local sim card which was handy. On the last day, they were very helpful in sorting out a few dramas trying to check in. Great road transfers between lodges - good drivers, safe road practices, good conversation, respected COVID protocols.

Ngala Safari Lodge
“Very friendly staff, great food and rooms were very nice, although the outdoor areas of the rooms fronted onto the communal path so not very private. The experience in the game vehicle was good - guide and tracker were great, fellow guests were also pleasant. The game viewing wasn't as good as I hoped but still had great experiences including seeing the cheetah and white lion. Although I did get some good shots, the photographic experience wasn't as good as the other two lodges.”

“Great staff, very friendly, the kitchen was good at accommodating dietary requirements once they understood what I was after. Great game viewing, photo opportunities were pretty good. Rooms were very nice (large and spacious) although I had a few dramas with wifi in the room which is pretty important for me as I like to upload my photos to the cloud as a backup each night. The decking is looking a little tired compared to when we were there last although they have started to replace it. I had the same guide and tracker as we had back in 2016.”

“Great accommodation and by far the best rooms on the trip - a very fortunate upgrade from Kirkmans Kamp. Rooms were amazing. Staff were very friendly and professional, great service. Great food. Great game viewing, this guide was the sympathetic to photographic needs which was great (he was our guide when we went to Exeter River Lodge years ago). Very accommodating to dietary requirements.”
