Honeymoon to South Africa & Mozambique
Elizabeth Nash, 8th December 2021Our honeymoon was unbelievable. Honestly, there are no words. Obviously traveling in 2021 was nerve-wracking but Caroline was so supportive at every step along the way. The trip was perfectly aligned with what we had wanted in terms of each destination being a unique stop. We could not have been more pleased in terms of food, accommodation, and activities.

“Considering we were there to just stay for one night to catch a flight I did not have high expectations and this place was wonderful! The hotel team really made the first night of our trip special. The room was beautifully decorated for the first night of our honeymoon and we had such a relaxing night prior to the next leg of our journey. We went back for lunch on our last day of travel we enjoyed it so much.”

“There are so many wonderful things to say here. The food is absolutely incredible. Each day there is a unique menu prepared for your individual need. A special shout out to Pedro, who was our amazing host. He truly made our trip so special. The attention to detail, care, and thought while you are a guest here is unlike anything I have experienced. If you have a question, they have already thought of it and have your answer ready. The team here is so wonderful. We were able to relax and unwind. They are so on top of safety and really make you feel like you have the place to yourself by carefully curating each guest itinerary to ensure that activities are stacked in different ways.”
“Prince and the team are wonderful! The location of this hotel is perfect, walking distance to Kloof street and if you are looking to explore, a central spot to many other locations in Cape Town. We wished we had more days here to relax in the beautiful hotel, but also see the city. The team was so sweet and super helpful in providing advice on where to go to eat and drink. The breakfast was amazing. I highly recommend staying here!!! It is also very beautiful and historic, so from a historical perspective what a cute place to stay in and experience.”
Thornybush Game Lodge
“The Thornybush Game Lodge was such a wild experience. Each morning you awake to a different animal as you look out from your balcony. We saw the Big 5 all on our first day, plus wild dogs by our 3rd day. Each day after we were able to experience the animals in such an exciting way. Our tracker and guide were awesome ( Ismael & Kel). They were so knowledgeable and didn't make us city slickers feel too out of place. The spa was wonderful and much needed after several days of travel.”

“5 stars isn't enough,10 stars! Caroline is a rock-star. She truly created such a beautiful trip for us that we are eternally grateful for. Given all of the craziness of COVID-19, postponing, there was so much that had to be considered and Caroline took care of everything. I was not stressed about my honeymoon at all. I have not a single complaint about the entire trip, except that we wish we were still on it and could go again ASAP! We will definitely be back in Africa and without a doubt utilize the Mahlatini team again! Thank you for making our honeymoon so special and wonderful.”
