vacation to Kenya & Tanzania
Jennifer Fornelli, 21st June 2022We had the best time! We saw everything we hoped to and more. The countries we visited (Kenya and Tanzania - Zanzibar specifically) are beautiful and very diverse in their terrain. Most of all the staff at all the camps and resort were wonderful, very warm and welcoming. We arrived as strangers and left as family.

“Lovely hotel and very hospitable staff. The food in the restaurant was very, very good. We arranged a day trip of Nairobi that included a visit to the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, the Giraffe sanctuary and the Karen Blixen (author of Out of Africa) museum. This was a perfect way to help with the jetlag and be introduced to Africa.”
Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp
“The tents are gorgeous and the staff are so incredibly kind and attended to every detail. This was the first of our tented camps and felt spoiled from the minute we arrived. We were greeted with a cool towel and a cactus juice and ginger cocktail and a warm smile from Kibet, we knew everything was going to be fantastic - we hated to leave. The game drives were incredible and there were times we felt like we were the only ones on earth looking at the magnificent creatures. John our driver/guide was incredibly knowledgeable and has a real passion for what he does. He answered all our questions patiently and with good humour. We would definitely love to return.”
Elewana Sand River Masai Mara
“This was a different experience from Loisaba given the terrain is much flatter and more open. The animals and at times felt farther away but it was still wonderful. When we were able to get close to the animals it was awe inspiring - especially the elephants!! At night you could hear the elephants eating the trees and the lions roar. It was incredible and not soon forgotten. Again, the staff were warm and welcoming and all our needs were attended to in the loveliest of ways.”
Breezes Beach Club & Spa
“This was the most ideal way to wind down after a safari. The setting was gorgeous with beautifully groomed grounds full of native plants and flowers. The resident monkey was around keeping an eye on things. The rooms are beautiful and the food is fantastic. The staff were always at the ready to help. There is a lot to do at the resort - snorkeling, windsurfing, scuba diving, etc., but there are also day trips that can be arranged into Stone Town, spice farms, butterfly sanctuary, etc. You can do as much or as little as you want in a perfect setting.”

“We couldn't have asked for a better travel expert. This trip was 3 years in the planning - delayed because of Covid - and Nicki stayed in touch throughout. All our questions were answered quickly and thoughtfully and no question was too stupid or insignificant. She kept all of our desires and interests in mind and in the end it felt like we became friends. I would go back to her in a minute and recommend her to anyone that is interested in an African safari. Thanks so much Nicki!!”
