Villa Violet
“Villa fine and owner welcoming but we felt it was a slow start to the holiday. There is little to see or do in Windhoek as confirmed by the host. We walked into the city centre, had a quick look round and walked back. We would have preferred a location a couple of hours on the way to Wolwedans?”
Wolwedans Dunes Lodge
“Fantastic place. Loved the ethos and enjoyed looking around the garden. We were very lucky as we were only one or two guest groups and received a very personal service.”
Hoodia Desert Lodge
“A bit blingy for our taste. Not very authentic. Trip to Sossusvlei was fantastic. We were permitted to walk up Big Daddy and down through Death Valley which was excellent.”
Atlantic Villa Boutique Guesthouse
“The location was not very good. Sarah wishes you had persuaded her desire for a sea view was not a priority in view of the persistent fog. It was clean and functional and the receptionists were very helpful. The Tug restaurant was as good as any we have been to.”
Doro Nawas Camp
“Amazing place. Very authentic with amazing staff. Loved it, especially sleeping under the stars although the full moon was a bit bright! Food fabulous.”
Grootberg Lodge
“Liked the location in the mountains and the staff. Went Rhino trekking which was a long day and not helped by the car temporarily breaking down, and our group being asked to walk into the bush where we stood for an hour, mid-day, while the guide had a sleep. It all ended well but was a lot of effort to see a rhino considering what was on offer at Anderson’s.”

“Beyond amazing Sarah wanted to stay longer. Fantastic guide, staff, and location. Loved the water hole and hide. Accommodation was fabulous.”
Okonjima Plains Camp
“Good transit location but a bit touristy. Cheetah and Lions were captive and like visiting safari park. Leopard tracking good fun but again rather contrived. I appreciate it’s the only practical way to find a leopard in a few hours.”
