Honeymoon to Kenya & Tanzania
Catherine Watts, 8th October 2022Our trip was utterly amazing. From the moment we were picked up from Nairobi International Airport to the moment we were dropped back off, our honeymoon went without any problems. Everything went very smoothly. The internal flights, the taxi transfers, the hotels, everything was perfect. The safari was the best experience ever and I cannot wait to go on another one. Rest assured I would book with Mahlatini. Stuart organised our trip to perfection.

Tamarind Tree Hotel
“We were only there for one night checking in late and up early to get to Nairobi Wilson Airport for our Safari Link flight. Security when arriving was very good and thorough, check-in quick and our room spacious and comfortable for the night we were there. It was pleasing the bar was still open for a drink before going to bed. Breakfast was good with a buffet with choice. The hotel is very close to Nairobi Wilson which is perfect if flying out from there. We had no complaints with this hotel for the night we were there.”
Ol Seki Hemingways Mara
“Totally AMAZING. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were treated like family. The host Debbie, is so welcoming, warm, professional and we were so glad that we picked this camp. We arrived and were shown to our tent, which was really lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the views over the plain first class. The bed turning down and hot water bottles to keep you warm at night was very welcomed. The food was totally amazing and there was so much of it. What we really liked was Debbie sitting with her guests, and everyone sharing what they had seen out on safari that day. We were blessed with the other guests staying there as they were all so lovely. The staff were brilliant, always smiling, polite and happy to help with anything. Even bringing our hot drink to our tent at 6 a.m. was brought with a smile to chaperoning us to our tent when it was dark. The swimming pool area looking over a water hole was perfect for relaxing and watching the animals. Our guide, Raffy, well what can I say, we hit the jackpot with him. His knowledge, uncanny way of knowing exactly where to go to see all the beautiful animals really made our safari experience first class. We saw every possible animal and more and were thrilled to bits. Our safari adventure could not have been any better and it is all thanks to our fantastic time at Ol Seki Hemingways Mara. We really didn't want to leave. I would 100% recommend this accommodation. We will return.”
Zuri Zanzibar
“If you travel to Zanzibar then I would highly recommend you book this hotel. If we travel here again we would not stay anywhere else. First class accommodation and I have never felt so relaxed in this eco serene hotel. The bed, oh my god, I haven't sleep so well in years. The most comfortable bed ever. Our little home for the week was luxurious and was everything you need for your holiday and more. I loved the hammock on our deck outside, the way that the accommodation blended in so well with all the beautiful trees and plants which are all so well maintained and kept. We ate every night at the buffet restaurant save for the BBQ night on the beach was fabulous. The only thing that we felt needed attention was the restaurant which had a set menu. We never fancied the food that was on the menu which was a shame as it had a lovely setting overlooking the pool area. But in saying that the food which we ate at the buffet was different each night, fresh and delicious. We had no complaints. The staff were lovely, helpful, always smiling and very welcoming. and attentive. There was plenty of sunbeds and the beach was well maintained. The bars were great and the lite fire on the beach of an evening to watch the sunset was a lovely little touch. We didn't use the gym or go to any yoga classes, we intended to, but we just needed to relax and that is exactly what we done in the best place. I had a lovely spa treatment which was not cheap but lovely. All in all, again we didn't want to leave. This hotel is amazing and definitely worth the 5 stars that I have given. I would definitely return here for a holiday and we felt that 7 days was not long enough. This is the perfect retreat, peaceful, relaxing and quiet. The perfect honeymoon hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.”

“We had no idea where to start when planning our honeymoon but we knew we wanted to go on safari and thereafter have some time on the beach to relax. I came across Mahlatini on Facebook and my first point of contact was Stuart and thank goodness for that. His knowledge, approachability and expertise were second to none. He guided me to what was the best holiday of our lives and I am not joking when I say this. Both of the accommodations that he recommended were absolutely stunning, amazing and lovely and were perfect for us. He really couldn't have picked better. I would like to add, that we were a Covid wedding/honeymoon and planned to marry June 2020 and honeymoon October 2020! Each year that we had to postpone our honeymoon, Stuart made what was an upsetting and emotional time for us for personal reasons and not all related to Covid, easy, stress-free and with little or no fuss. Stuart's professionalism and ability to make people's holidays so special is something to be admired.
