Honeymoon to Kenya & Tanzania
Christine Friedman, 18th August 2022"Trip of a lifetime" would be an understatement. Stuart Hall made sure every aspect of our trip was planned and executed flawlessly, which was an impressive feat given we decided to plan this trip about 1.5-2 months before we wanted to leave. Stuart's communication throughout the process was exceptional. The hotels/camps we stayed at were excellent, and the transfers between locations were seamless. Our experience with Mahlatini was so positive that I recommended your services to my mother, who now wants to plan her own Africa trip.

Tamarind Tree Hotel
“Giving this hotel 4 stars, primarily because the Elewana collection we stayed at were above and beyond deserving of 5 stars. Tamarind Tree was a great starting point in Nairobi. The hotel was very clean, the service was great and the location was ideal for access to both airports, the giraffe sanctuary, and walkable to Carnivore (which was a great restaurant). Very happy with the night we spend here.”
Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp
“The camp was spectacular. The tent accommodation was very luxurious and the views of the conservancy were stunning. The service from the staff would get 10 stars if you offered, the food was phenomenal, and Dalmas (our Guide) was absolutely amazing. The level of animal interaction was much less than Sand River, so I would definitely recommend starting here before the Mara. Both Christine and I felt that if it were the other way around (Mara to Loisaba) we might be a little underwhelmed, given how ridiculous the Mara is for game drives and animal sightings. However, to start the trip we both loved Loisaba and felt it was such a classy, white-glove experience to kick off with. We would definitely recommend Loisaba tented camp to friends and family.”
Elewana Sand River Masai Mara
“This trip only got better every day and Sand River was the pinnacle of the trip. Just like Loisaba, the service, the accommodations, and food were spectacular. But what really took the experience to another level was our Guide, Alex. He provided so much knowledge throughout every drive, and had a prescient ability to know how to position the jeep to ensure we had the best viewing angles to provide the best experience possible. We looked forward to every drive and learned an amazing amount about Kenya, the culture, animal behavior, and a million other facts to make us ringers at bar trivia. We'd come back to Sand River in a heartbeat.”
Breezes Beach Club & Spa
“Breezes was great, and a perfect end to our trip. We were concerned that the buffet format of the hotel would not be to our liking, but we found the food to be excellent and varied every night (I pretty much over-ate at every meal). The resort itself was beautiful, and the staff were very accommodating. No complaints at all.”

Stuart's initial recommendation and scope based on our trip goals made selecting Mahlatini an easy choice from the 4 other outfitters we were exploring, and his service throughout the experience was top-notch. Stuart was extremely expedient with his communication, brought forward very thoughtful and knowledgeable recommendations, and was not afraid to push back when he felt an idea we had would not lead to the best experience on our trip. Stuart made sure to check in with us throughout our trip, and if there was ever a potential wrinkle in plans (e.g. a transfer flight being canceled), he already had it taken care of before it was ever an issue. We felt that Stuart & Mahlatini provided a great 'Safety net' during our trip and that we never had to worry about any inconvenience that would distract from being present in our experience.
