“Mauritius was a beautiful country! The people were all very friendly and welcoming. We stopped in Port Louis which was very busy but nice. Some of the smaller towns didn't seem as nice, but where we were staying was absolutely amazing! If the distance wasn't so far for us we wouldn't definitely go back!”

“The location was very good, we like being right next to the airport and not having to travel anywhere after such a long flight. Our room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The restaurant had good food. The hotel overall was nice and had a welcoming atmosphere.”

“Chapungu was outstanding. I can't say enough good things about it. The staff were absolutely incredible and personable. We felt like we got to know them on a personal level. The game drives were unbelievable and they did their best to make sure you get to see everything (we did)! The food was spectacular and we liked being able to make our own drinks during the day! The accommodations were incredible, like nothing we've ever experienced! Staying in a tent in Africa, but not just any type of tent, a tent of luxury!”

Hippo Hollow Country Estate

“Hippo Hollow was nice, the accommodations were neat with the little cottages. The staff were nice enough to move us to a river chalet for free which allowed us a better view! The other guests were a bit older than we were, which gave it a quieter atmosphere. The location was splendid and the views of the river were great! The food was pretty good, and the Shangaan Cultural show was spectacular, we really enjoyed that!”

“The Garden Court was average. We had accidentally gone to the other Garden Court which was much nicer than where we stayed. The staff were not as friendly as other hotels, the room was average. But, for only staying one night we were definitely content. The food was really good as well!”

Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort

“There aren't enough great things to say about the Awali! The resort was incredible! Everything was so clean and the staff were all very friendly. They all do a very good job! The room was huge, and had everything we needed! There were plenty of restaurants to choose from. The food was average, we weren't real impressed, but that didn't bother us with everything else surrounding us!”
