Adventure Holiday to Kenya & Uganda
Roger Glayzer, 22nd January 2023We thought this trip to Kenya and Uganda was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Not anymore, this visit was the most magical and overwhelming experience we have ever had and we will be planning another trip soon. All the people we met, whether visitors, drivers, lodge staff, guides..... were exceptional. We believe that everyone, at least once in their lifetime, should experience Africa and all it has to offer.
Accommodation Visited
Tamarind Tree Hotel
“We spent the night in Nairobi, Kenya, at a very comfortable hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast at the hotel was way beyond what we were expecting. Beautiful presentation of the food with lots to choose from, fresh fruits and juices, and the dining room was comfortable and very pleasing to the eye. We were happy to have experienced the Tamarind Tree Hotel.”
Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp
“No complaints here. Everything was absolutely perfect from the Superior View Tents, the food, and the staff couldn't have been more attentive, professional and friendly. Our safari guide was the best and we couldn't have asked for anyone better. Every day on our safari drives there were always new animals to encounter and our guide, Denzol, made sure we were always safe and as close to the animals as possible. There were many activities that one could choose to do which added to the great experience. We chose the hot air balloon experience as one of our early morning adventures. On our last night, we attended a bush dinner which was the perfect end to our stay. Staying at Kichwa Tembo was a pleasure and just made our visit even more exceptional.”
The Boma Entebbe
“The Boma Entebbe is fairly close to the International Airport, but one would never know. The grounds of the hotel are designed as a botanical garden which makes it a very relaxing hotel to stay at. Very peaceful surroundings allowed us to relax a little before our next adventure began. The entire staff was accommodating, friendly and professional.”
Buhoma Lodge
“Buhoma Lodge was another exceptional few days. Once again the staff was friendly, accommodating and very professional. We stayed in one of the highest huts, where we had a bird's eye view of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The trekkers and guides made sure, as best they could, for us to experience the Mountain Gorillas as they can be in different areas of the mountain at any given time. We were not disappointed as we experienced a family of 20, young and old. What great photos and videos we were able to leave with. There are a few events that a visitor can experience. We decided to visit the Batwa Tribe. It's an experience in itself to visit one of the oldest surviving indigenous tribes in Africa. We learned about how they hunt, their natural medicinal treatments, their lifestyle, etc. They were evicted from the National Forest and are now supported by the Bwindi Impenetrable Conservation Trust.”

“Exceptional, professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and went the extra mile to accommodate our questions and needs. It was a major decision for us to decide to make this journey and Niki explained everything to us. We were picked up at all the airports, assisted through security, and transported to all our accommodations. Everyone we interacted with was professional, knowledgeable and extremely friendly.
