Honeymoon to Kenya
Sean Smith & Samantha Rockwood, 17th February 2023A trip of a lifetime! Our delayed honeymoon to Kenya was more than we ever imagined. Leading up to our departure, we were worried that the trip wouldn’t live up to the 3 year hype but we were pleasantly surprised! We truly enjoyed every moment of the trip and are already talking about bringing our son on safari when he is older.

Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp
“Kichwa Tembo was incredible. The view of the Maasai Mara out of our Superior View Tent was breathtaking. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure our trip truly felt like a honeymoon. We can’t say enough good things about our safari guide Fred, butler/waiter Yailell, or housekeeper David. Our guide tailored our safari experience to us and delivered beyond our craziest dreams. We saw the Big Five and over 70 different lions!”
Tamarind Tree Hotel
“We only got a glimpse of this hotel as we were only there for a few hours. Overall, we had a good experience and it was conveniently located next to Wilson Airport upon our return from Kichwa Tembo.”

“Claire Picknell is amazing. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit and we had to postpone our honeymoon, we had no idea what would happen to our trip. Claire was with us for over 3 years providing information and options to ensure we were financially protected and would one day take the trip of a lifetime. With our busy schedules and having a child, it was tough to find the time to take our trip. Claire listened to all our ideas and provided multiple different itineraries for us to consider. Although we had to cut a week off the original itinerary, we are still so glad we decided to listen to Claire’s advice and visit the Maasai Mara. We are beyond thankful to Claire and the entire team at Mahlatini for allowing us the ability to be financially protected through the pandemic and finally go on our honeymoon!”
