vacation to South Africa & Zimbabwe
Natasha Singh, 20th May 2023We used Mahlatini to plan our honeymoon trip to South Africa and Zimbabwe in May 2023. Overall, we had an amazing experience working with Mahlatini and everything was very well organized from start to finish. Every detail was taken care of from transfers to internal tickets, hotel reservations and experiences. Everything ran smoothly and we had an amaaaaazing time! We felt our itinerary was perfect for the amount of time we had allotted (2 weeks).

“An amazing amazing amazing property. We have stayed in many nice hotels before and the level of service and attention to detail at this boutique hotel was unmatched. From being greeted at the door by the property manager, to a private walkthrough of the property, stunning views, amazing food, and the most hospitable staff, we have ZERO complaints or even recommendations on how to improve this property and our experience. We felt so special every single day. We would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Cape Town in the future, especially if for a "special occasion".”
Babylonstoren Farm Hotel
“A rustic farmhouse-style property near beautiful Franschhoek. Our cottage was HUGE and included a mini kitchen, large dining table, living room and large bedroom/bathroom. We enjoyed lighting the fire every night with a glass of wine in hand. During the day we took advantage of the many activities the property had to offer. We especially loved the bread baking class, olive oil/vinegar tour, wine/cellar tour and Jeep property tour (STUNNING sunset views of the property and the land around it). Would be a great property for guests of all ages!”
Simbambili Game Lodge
“We stayed here for the safari portion of our honeymoon trip. We absolutely LOVED our time here. The property itself is beautiful and the service is exceptional. We loved our spacious room with a beautiful outdoor plunge pool and patio as well as a spacious bathroom/shower area. Every single staff member was SO kind. We had AMAZING animal sightings during our game drives (saw the Big 5 within the first 2 game drives and again on so many others, also so many leopards!!) and loved our time with Mike and Mr. T who were both knowledgeable and funny. We also spotted animals at the watering hole during our meals. This was a truly special lodge. They put together a very special private dinner in our room on the last night and fully decorated everything in the room, bathroom and outdoor patio with roses/candles. It was a perfect way to end our last night at this lodge. We would love to go back! Oh and the masseuse (Thuli) was so great that we booked multiple services with her on all our full days in the lodge.”
Victoria Falls Safari Lodge
“We spent 2 nights at this property. Overall, we had a great experience. The staff was very sweet and accommodating. In comparison to the properties we stayed at in South Africa, this property didn't have as a "luxurious" of a feel but it served our purposes. We did the Victoria Falls tour, Boma dinner, vulture culture lunch, and dinner at Makuwa-Kuwa restaurant. The main dining areas of the property had a view of the water hole which had some animal activity throughout the day. Everyone in Zimbabwe was very kind!”
