Megan Dolinga, 29th May 2024The trip itinerary was very well thought out, the travel was set up so that we arrived at each location with plenty of time to enjoy the space. The safari was incredible and the absolute highlight of the trip. Paradise Cove was also amazing, even though it was the winter season and we didn't have the best weather to be able to enjoy the beach. The food and staff were amazing and very vegan-friendly, the resort was well maintained and beautiful, it was immaculately decorated and made the stay very relaxing.

“Shimungwe Lodge cannot be recommended enough, the staff was friendly, accommodating, and really made you feel at home. Lukan was the best safari guide in the entire reserve, he was always able to find the most incredible safari viewing and was extremely knowledgeable, he was able to focus on seeing everything we hadn't seen yet each day and made it a priority for us to experience everything the safari had to offer. The staff crafted amazing vegan food for us every meal and accommodated us with non-alcoholic options as well. The lodge's viewing and relaxing homey qualities make it one of the best lodges in South Africa.”

“The Cove's commitment to quality, eco-friendliness, and relaxation was incredible. This ending to our stay allowed us to fully relax, and the spa's massage was such a blissful experience. The food was great every day, and the variety provided ensured we didn't feel the need to repeat the same menus or restaurants.
However, we did have significant issues with scheduling activities. Despite having a 5-night stay at Paradise Cove, which one would think would be plenty of time to take advantage of the activities provided, we faced difficulties. We struggled to schedule dinners at various restaurants and were unable to participate in any of the add-on activities at the resort. These activities were only available 1-2 days while we were there and were already booked, even though we tried to schedule everything immediately upon arrival. Hello Islands provided activity options, but they were inflexible on timing and required very early departures for some activities.”
