Elizabeth Ryan, 21st November 2024We can honestly say this is one of the best trips we have ever experienced! There have been so many highlights it is hard to pick even a handful. From our arrival in Kenya, the pick up from the airport, the smooth transition between all the flights, the different array of accommodations, landscapes and the variety of each day was brilliant. We saw so many animals and waking up each day we never knew what was going to happen on our drives. The mix of sunshine and relaxation to end our honeymoon was much needed. We came home to Ireland happy, relaxed and in love with Africa! We cannot wait to do it all again at some point in the future!!!

Tamarind Tree Hotel
“As we arrived late in the evening, being met at the airport by a Swissport official to take us through immigration and baggage claim as well as introduce us to our driver Tyson was a great support and made our arrival very easy. Tyson provided us with information about the area, hotel, and pick-up time the next day. The hotel was clean and welcoming and our room/bed was large and comfy after a long day traveling. The bed was dressed with 'I love u' which was a lovely start to our holiday. The breakfast was excellent and there was a pool if you wanted a swim. Wilson Airport was close by so it was an easy drive to start our safari experience.”

“From the moment we met our guides Joseph and Martin at the airstrip, our safari experience started immediately as we met an elephant we saw from the sky. Our guides were excellent and we were very lucky to have two! The accommodation is breathtaking with stunning views - we were speechless driving up the rocky terrain and getting a wonderful welcome from all the staff. The honeymoon cottage was one of the nicest places we have stayed in! The service level was exceptional and all the staff including Robert who was the main guy who took care of us were top-notch! We enjoyed having our massages too! We loved having a drink overlooking the vast plains (or the bush TV as it is best known). The safari drives were excellent, we saw countless numbers of elephants, giraffes and other wildlife. A couple of highlights for us were watching two elephants fight right by our car, a baby elephant hitting our car with its trunk, seeing all the beautiful birds (we were never interested in birds previously), finding an ostrich, watching fighting giraffes, lions and their kill (zebra), candlelight dinner under the rock and our sundowner drinks by reception.
Our only (small) critique would be the food, it was very basic with only one option to choose from. There should be two options per course!”

“Another fantastic accommodation completely different to Samburu which we really liked especially with the change in landscape. After meeting our guide Junior, we spotted large groups of animals including lions, wildebeests, buffalos, hyenas, etc... just moments after starting our game drive. We learned a lot from our guide Junior about the animals we saw and he understood we enjoyed taking photos on our professional cameras so he advised on different angles/lighting. The accommodation is really nice and the service level was excellent. We really enjoyed the reception area and having a drink by the fire each evening whilst chatting with other guests in the resort. Some highlights were finding a new lion pride in the conservancy, finding a cheetah and her cub just after they killed an impala, watching the lighting and having a drink by the lions in torrential rain and having breakfast with the hippos while watching giraffes crossing the river.
Our only (small) critique would be the food, it was very basic with only one option to choose from. There should be two options per course! Also, there was no mosquito net around the bed.”

“Ultimate five-star luxury accommodation by the beach which was a fantastic setting. The cottages were super cool and very trendy, we loved their approach to sustainability too! The reception areas and restaurants were fantastic and beautifully presented, the food and variety of what to choose from was excellent. The staff were so friendly, super nice and their attention to detail evident whenever they served us. The beach area is really nice with water and snacks provided throughout the day which is a nice touch. It is a perfect spot for swimming and we loved watching the sunset each evening. There is a variety of activities throughout the day to keep you entertained too. My husband had a massage which he said was the best he has ever had! It was the perfect spot to end a trip of a lifetime!”

From the initial call, to understanding what we wanted and our needs and providing excellent alternative locations/accommodations, Stuart and his team were excellent to deal with so much so that I have given Stuart's details to a handful of other travellers I met on our trip! The attention to detail, checking we had the correct visas and follow-up throughout the trip was exceptional. We were cared for and had nothing to think about during our time away as everything was so well done. This is what I call 5-star service!!
