Accommodation Visited
Baraza Resort and Spa
“Excellent hospitality, service and food were exceptional. Only comment would be that the triple room was cramped, and there was plenty of room in the rest of the villa for a third bed - for example we could have used the day bed area for a third bed as it had a hook for a mosquito net already in place.
This property was maybe a bit too "pole pole" for our teens! Probably better suited to adults/honeymooners, etc than families. That said the staff looked after us and the kids extremely well.”
Tamarind Tree Hotel
“Perfectly located for transfer to & from Wilson airport. Obviously well suited to conferences and a business hotel rather than a tourist hotel. Rooms, etc were all comfortable and perfectly acceptable for an overnight stay. Small pool - not sure if it was heated as advertised though!”
Governors' Camp
“Where to start??! Would rate higher than 5 stars if I could! Exceptional setting, staff, personal attention, and cheery outlook, as well as a very engaging, knowledgeable guide, Patrick Fish, who was equally good with both adults and teenagers. It felt like the animal sightings, river crossings, etc were all set up, as the guides were so good at anticipating where and when things would happen!
The new family safari tents are very comfortable and spacious. Hot water bottles at night, hot chocolates for early morning starts! We were so well looked after, especially by security when elephants and hippos were outside the tent at night!
Only comments would be about the food. Lunches were great. Loved the buffet dinner; maybe it could be more buffet-style and less set menu, but we appreciate the logistics involved. The kids' menu could maybe be a bit more varied.
However, that was minor and didn’t detract from a wonderful experience.”

“Comfortable and well located for a day room prior to a night flight. Didn't stay long enough to get a good impression of the facilities. Food was acceptable, but we were maybe spoiled with standards at our other hotels!”

“Jessica took over from Gemma for maternity leave. Both very helpful throughout and a very smooth process and support, especially after the booking was confirmed.
We looked at various options and there were some delays trying to confirm hotels, but I believe these may have been due to waiting for responses from the accommodations rather than the agents. Occasionally, I felt I could have been kept informed better during the booking process - maybe some form of portal, etc. Ended up having to swap safari/beach to beach/safari. However, it didn't really matter in end!”
