Dock House Boutique Hotel & Spa
“We loved Dock House. The intimacy of the uniqueness of the 6-room boutique hotel was very much appreciated. The room was spectacular and the closeness to the V&A wharf area was the icing on the cake. It was the perfect home base for our exploration of Cape Town. I would definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Cape town.”
Shimungwe Lodge
“We loved Shimungwe Lodge!!! Nataly and Garard made us feel at home immediately after our arrival. We felt that they loved their place and were thrilled to be able to share it with us. The intimacy of only four suites allowed us to quickly bond with the other guests. The first night we were there, we were the only Americans which was delightful. Lucan, our safari guide, and Daniel, our tracker, were wonderful, as well as exceedingly knowledgeable. They made the safari experience the best. The food was superb. When I arrived home, I quickly added Shiungwe Lodge to my Facebook friend group. I didn't want to lose the closeness that I felt with them.”
The Wallow Lodge
“Wallow Lodge was another hidden gem. It was an upgrade for us from our budget, but it was well worth it. Having another bush experience was appreciated and it was the perfect distance from the Falls. Having the "glampling" experience added to our overall African adventure, as opposed to staying in a hotel. Kathryn was spot on when she suggested that two nights at this property was enough. I'm hoping that more people find this place to appreciate this experience. It seemed that they had a few empty suites when we were there. Again, the food was delicious.”
